“GET ON THE BUS” (GOTB) sponsored by the Center for Restorative Justice Works, in southern California, is an event to transport children and their caregivers to visit the children’s dads who are in Soledad Prison.
This visit will take place just before Father’s Day (June 17 this year). Sister Elaine Coutu, CSJ, a member of St. Martin of Tours Parish, San Jose, is Bus Coordinator for the San Jose area. This event is at no cost to the family.
There are several needs:
•

Adults to visit families and help do the paperwork (training is provided)
• Backpacks for the children with small items to keep them occupied while on the bus
• Monetary donations to help pay for the bus, meals, and a photo of the child with their parent.
